Welcome to Perinatal Pro, a website posted by women's reproductive mental health expert Susan Dowd Stone, MSW, LCSW to help educate and inform women, families and health care providers about the often unexpected challenges of mood changes during pregnancy, the postpartum and throughout a woman's reproductive life.

Visit the postpartum depression media library which contains links to videos, audiocasts, articles on perinatal mood disorders and federal legislation supportive to women, infants and families which have appeared in respected journals, websites or national television.  Find answers to commonly asked questions about postpartum depression!

In addition, if you are a health care provider seeking further training in perinatal mood disorders, you may wish to attend or host one a
half day workshop for or your staff members interested in developing a specialty in perinatal mood disorders.

You can read this week's blog
on mental health and legislative issues, make contact for scheduling educational presentations or workshops, find out where you can attend an upcoming presentation , order the providers reference, Perinatal and Postpartum Mood Disorders; Perspectives and Treatment Guide for the Healthcare Practitioner,  review other relevant articles and PowerPoint presentations and find therapy services for your or your loved ones provided at Ms. Stone's private practice, Blue Skye Consulting in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

If you are a new mother and live in northern New Jersey or New York City, we invite you to attend
The New Mothers Socialization and Skills Group held every week at Blue Skye Consulting, LLC. These groups offer opportunities to compare notes and learn about some of the most common issues that arise around childbirth and parenting.

It is also possible to
arrange phone consultations for the purposes of referrals, case consultations, or expert witness/legal services. In addition, this website offers links to other organizations and websites supportive to women's mental health issues and mental health issues in general.

Information on this site is never meant to replace or substitute the advice given to you by your healthcare team!  Recovery plans are unique to each woman!

If this is a media inquiry, please call the office at 201-567-5596.
